I needed to add another strobe this year. Got a tip that Best Buy was running a sale last Wednesday. I picked up this one for $14.99 plus $4 for shipping. It arrived Monday. Under $20 for this huge strobe is a great deal. I was blown away by the size and power. Bad to Bone likes it too.

This was one of the "Hot Deals" Wednesday specials that Best Buy runs each week. However, you can still get one, but it's back to the regular price of $29.99 + $3.99 for shipping.

LOL - 70 watts but it seems even higher. I about blinded my boys when I turned it on. They started dancing and you could see the strobe effect even though it was still light out.

I've been lucky in finding the Lite f/x ones that usually go for $15 for only $5. They're more than powerful enough for the uses I've had so far. You're going to be landing planes with that one, lol

LOL You're probably right Vlad. I've got a couple of Lite f/x that I got for about $10. But I figured a little more power couldn't hurt. I was not expecting to be able to strobe the entire neighborhood. Should I call the FAA for a permit?

Just on strobe use in general. I was reading some interesting stuff on another forum about strobes and their causing seizures and migraines in some people. I believe the jist of the conversation was that they should never be pointed where someone can look directly into them, and that strobe beats between 10-30 times a second were most likely to have ill effects on someone. I'd have to recheck those times though if you're interested.

Good point Vlad. I never point strobes at people. I always try to use them to enhance movement of animated props or create perceived movement in static props.
