I was browsing around and found this.

This looks like a decent small fog machine and it comes with a timer. Does anyone have any experience with this perticular one?

I own two of these, and they've been running good for two seasons now. Just had them out in July to test for this year's use, and they were still fine then.

They're small though, so don't go thinking you can fog your whole yard with one. You could, but the time in between re-heats would be pretty rough. I use one inside my Monster-in-the-Box and one for my smoking wood stove. They do great for smaller applications like that, or to fog an inside location.

I got one of those last year to use with my witch prop. It's a very good deal for a fogger and timer. It worked great and only used one full tank of fluid over 4 hours. But Zombie-F is right. It not a large volume fogger. I use a 1000 watt unit with a chiller to do my graveyard.

I can't tell what wattage that one is. I know their medium one is 400 watts, and is $19.99. All I can tell you is that if I was starting again, I'd buy the cheaper units like this one, rather than the more pricey, but also more powerful VEI that I started with. The one that I would NEVER buy again is the new fangeled constant fogger they came out with last year. It's a fog juice hog.

Great thanks for the info, I just ordered a few for my grave yard. I was thinking of making 2 small fog chillers for them also. Just have to hope that wind does not pick up and "PICK UP" my fog :D

That is inevitable. The slightest little breeze moves it right up and away. I'm going to try my FotR chiller this year and if it doesn't work any better than the old chiller, I think I'm abandoning the use of ice in them. The chiller's chamber does seem to make the fog come out thicker, but I doubt the ice has much to do with that.

On another forum last year, there was a comment from a friend of mine, that he felt the fog was coming out too fast. so he slowed it down with some towels draped over the pipe outlet he was using to direct the fog. He said it then became thicker with no cooling at all. Weird.

I've been considering distributing the fog with a long piece of 2" pvc pipe with a cap at the end. Along the pipe, there would be a 1/4" hole every six inches or so drilled into the side of the pipe. I saw something similar at a Pirate Cove mini-golf in Florida, so I think I may try it out before October to see if I can get the fog to be distributed across the entire back of my cemetery as opposed to just coming out at one place (the outlet).

I think that made sense. You'll know what I mean when I post my findings. :D

I haven't tried it, but I've heard that if you make all the holes the same size, the majority of the fog will spill from the first ones. You need to make the holes closest to the fogger the smallest ones, and get bigger from there.

Hmmm... good idea. I wonder how I can do this to get distribution to be the same from end to end, or at least close to the same. I'll experiment!

Worse comes to worst, it doesn't work and I'm only out a couple of bucks for PVC.

Just remember, you can always ENLARGE a hole, but it's tough to make it smaller again, lol.

True. I'll start with all 1/8" holes and gradually enlarge the holes furthest from the output. I have a feeling though that alot of the fog's thickness will be lost doing this. It is a cheap experiment to try though, so that's good.

I bought a new fog machine today and I was wondering and if anybody can tell me how to build a fog chiller? An easy-to-build fog chiller please! lol
