Haunted Signpost

A question to anyone who may have completed a project similar to the one on this site name Haunted signpost. I have not worked with a Fluorescent Starter in the past but I have created the flicker device and it is working but I notice that inside the starter looks to be sparking. First since it is called a started I thought this might be ok but I was wondering if anyone here has had problems with this type of circuit? I really do not want to put this in use and end up with a little extra lighting from a fire on the big night :eek: Any words of wisdom?

That's what a fluorescent starter does. It tries to start the bulb by igniting the gasses inside it with a spark, which is what you're seeing.

Good luck with the prop. I'd like to see pictures of yours when its done. :D
