It's still a work in progress, but I have lots of pics so far, and some instructions on how I'm making it.

It's a fun project, but takes a lot of time to do. I must be nuts for taking this one on!! :googly:

Wow Ghostess, I was wondering if we'd lost you or something. Just turns out you've been really busy. It's amazing what you can do with some duct tape and PVC pipe. That thing looks really awesome so far. You are quite talented... and nuts :googly: :p

Awww shucks.. thanks.

I have been pretty busy, had a friend in town from Japan for his birthday this weekend, so it was party party party and not much working on my props. I told my friend who hosted a poker party for him, that I considered packing up my gargoyle and paper mache supplies to bring with me and I wondered if they'd notice if I set it up and worked while they played poker. I really am addicted to this whole paper mache thing!

It's a really great gargoyle ghostess. I'm another mache addict. Just make sure that it has numerous coats of sealer on it, it would be a shame to see it ruined.

I had a good weekend and finally got somewhere with "Goliath". :D
I'm *hoping* to finish him up today; everything from here on out is purely cosmetic.

I finished him up just before midnight last night and I'm feelin' like a :zombie: . The paint job ain't all what I had in mind, but I can fix that later. I'm just glad to be done at this point so I can move on to something new. Thanks for all the kind words y'all :)

WONDERFUL paint job Ghostess! That prop really turned out great. It looks like stone. Did you use a dry-brush technique?

Goliath is truly awesome......how long did it take you?

Thanks. I used a damp sponge with a little bit of paint to kind of rub the paint on. I guess it's somewhat similar to drybrushing, only with a sponge and not a brush.

It took me 16 days to complete.

I am impressed! ONLY 16 DAYS?! How much coffee did you have to consume to get it done so fast? LOL

He's just awesome Ghostess. I especially like the way you defined the chest area. Is he top heavy though?

Thanks.. yeah, he is a bit top-heavy, which is why I had to adjust the base by adding a styrofoam wedge to it. He's fairly sturdy now, but if a good gust of wind or someone not watching where they're walking came along, he'd go over.
