Do you think there will be a Unpleasant Street T-shirt being made?

I haven't put any thought into that, but I guess if enough people expressed interest in it, I could see doing it. Hmmmm.... :xbones:

Well then, I'll look into it. :D
I know cafepress doesn't offer black t-shirts, so I won't be going with them. Anyone know of any other similar online retailers that do offer black t-shirts?

Hmmmm...I sense the opportunity for Raxl and myself to spread our encroaching cloak of evil and darkness into the realm of screen-printing black t-shirts. :D

lol. Hmmmm... Giving me ideas you are... :ninja:
I could picture the red skeleton in a trench coat leaning against a street sign that says Unpleasant Street.
Count me in I want one or two. I like the idea of the red waving skeleton. You Should add something to the shirt to signify that we are a group and not just wearing a shirt promoting Unpleasant street. Although that isnt bad either. :D Anyways Later all BobC

I was thinking about this earlier... I think on the front will be a some text arranged in a circular pattern that says
Local
66
Haunters
Where the Local and Haunters will be arranged in a circle pattern around the large number 66 and the word "Union" can be below it. This pattern would appear over the left breast of the shirt.
Then, I could put the red waving skeleton on the back. What do you guys think of that idea?
DeathTouch

You could almost get away with this year by putting your flyer on the back of a shirt. Of course the red skelly looks cool too. Have him swing on a sign post saying Unpleasant street. Making him look like he is thumbing a ride.
Shouldn't that be haunters Local "666"?

Just resurrecting this thread as I've begun designing the shirts. There will be two shirts to start. Here is a preview of the first shirt's design. I'll probably toss a skull or bat or something into the inside of the logo... probably a bat. The location of this logo will be above the left breast of the shirt.
I'm still debating putting the site's name or address under the logo... not too sure how that will play out. I think it may be "cheesy" to do that, but I gotta get the name out there somehow, right?
I'll most likely be selling these via a cafepress shop as it's easiest for me as I have to do NO work and shipping is handled by them. I'll just collect a small comission on the sale of each shirt, which I'll use to keep this site running.
There may also be hats and mouse pads as well. Gotta see how it goes. Comments?

Promote the site!
And depending on colors (print) and the quality of the shirt, you can get these done for a little as $5 to $7 a shirt.

Ok, I figured out what I wanted in the middle there... Lucifer himself!
I think it's a matche made in hell.
The Cafepress shirts will be a little pricey, so I may just hunt down a silkscreener somewhere and get it done cheaper... but I'll have to handle taking orders and shipping somehow. Decisions, decisions... agh the compromises!

Make the flames on the 6's look like real flames? And like frighterners Ent. said, promote the site.

Will the red skelly still be on the back? I'm not sure about the logo. It's just that I hate it when people connect Halloween with Devil worship, and I don't think the logo helps much in that effort. I like the logo personally, but I would hate to get into some stupid debate with someone, and me defending Halloween as a benign Holiday, and at the same time sporting Satan with 666 on the breast pocket! "No no", I would say," Halloween has nothing to do with Satan. Pay no attention to the little man on the pocket." Unless...of course..You are all Devil worshipers and I have been lulled into false sense of security here on the forum..naaaa.I will buy one anyway to support the site though.

01-25-2006, 07:13 AM
Well Dr Morbius, I will be making a second T-Shirt with just the red skelly on it, but it will be on the front unless I decide to go with a different shirt-supplier that can do them on the back. This way, people that may take issue with the devil design can choose a different shirt that doesn't have that design on it.
Dr Morbius
01-25-2006, 11:34 AM
Cool!
I personally don't take issue with the design, I happen to like it. I just wanted to point out the possible ramificatons if one of our proud members encountering a bible thumping moron who takes umbrudge to haunting.
I like the red skelly design though. It's more "Unpleasant Street"-like. Yea, put your URL on it. That would be better for site promotion.

I've come to accept in my few years as a haunter and my lifetime as a fan of Halloween, that no matter what we do or don't do, there will be those that oppose what we do and those that falsely believe that Satanism is involved in our beloved day. Whether or not I make a t-shirt isn't going to change that and I'm not going to allow the worry that some religious zealot will disagree with my shirt stop me from making it.
Anyway, getting off my soapbox... Here's the latest (and probably final) design for shirt number 1. Again, this will occupy a 4" x 4" area above the left breast of the t-shirt. I changed it to say "Yard Haunters" instead of "Home Haunters" since I think the general audience here is comprised mainly of yard people.
As much as I'd like to make the tips of the 6's end in flames, my paintshop skills aren't that great, and I think I'd just kind of like to keep it simple anyhow. I will be ordering one of these for myself to make sure they come out OK before I release the address of the shop to the forum. Wouldn't want to find out that the shirt doesn't look good from an unhappy customer. :D

Thanks for the effort, but the flames aren't doing it for me. I think it sounds better in concept than it looks on paper. I'm just gonna stick with the simple design. Gotta get it uploaded to Cafepress now. :D

What's with the numeric code of Nero?
DeathTouch

What you might do with the flames is make it so that the top of the 6s are flames. Now that would be cool. In other words the flames are the number six.

I'm going to have a hard time deciding. Maybe I'll get both...
Zombie-F
01-26-2006, 07:06 AM
Now comes the hard decision... to Cafepress, or not to cafepress.
The advantages for me using Cafepress are that they manage my store for me. They print, ship, handle cash/credit transactions, etc. However, the main con of using Cafepress is the min price of the shirt will be $18.99 (plus shipping)... and if I want to make any money off of them, I'll need to increase that price as all $$ beyond the base price goes to the owner of the store.
On the other hand, if I find another silkscreener to do the job, the cost per shirt will be much less and I could probably charge $12 - $15 per shirt (+ shipping). But the cons are that I'd need to put up a lot of money up front to print shirts, try to anticipate how many of each size I'll need, etc, etc...
So, I'll put this out there for you guys... would you pay $20 for a t-shirt or should I just try to go the route of finding a different silkscreener?
Either way, Cafepress may only be a temporary thing anyhow. Once I get a feel for how many shirts of each size are sold on average, I may just switch to someone else.

I like shirt 2..Promotes the site well.
Zombie-F
01-26-2006, 04:59 PM
Hmmmm....
Since I can only have one black shirt on Cafepress (unless I pay extra for a premium shop), maybe I'll make the skeleton design the shirt and turn the Haunter's Union logo into a hat. Maybe that'll work out better.

I tend to agree with the 666 being a image problem. I mean the church people do not need any more reasons to make problems with people that understand and enjoy Halloween for what it is. So, for me the #2 shirt is the way to go with the url. And I have paid more the $20 for a t-shirt before, so twenty dollars is not that far out of range. But again, go with skelly, satan is one thing but who does not like a flaming skeleton. Remember your marketing, and go for the biggest group of people you can.

I just wanted to show off my new Unpleasant Street’s T-shirt that came in the mail today. Or should I say my wife’s T-shirt, who has already laid claim to it.(Known to you as Deathtouch Bride) I am going to have to win the $20 dollar challenge just to get a T-shirt. Anyway, I decided to model the T-shirt for you. I use the term model loosely for the word doesn’t fit me at all, but the shirt does. I decided to hide the innocent by wearing a mask. Of course, I am no way close to being innocent.
