my cauldron

okay. i made a stiring cauldron this year and it worked okay untill the night of halloween. i made it useing an old record player. I put the stick in a jar and filled the jar a little so it was a little heavy so the stick would stay upright. and then put the stick on the player so it would spin. well it worked pretty well. most of the time. but somtimes i geuss it would get too heavy and it would just stop and couldnt spin. any idea how i can get the thing to spin with out haveing to add weight to make it stay upright?

Take a liteweight can, spray foam the stick in place, epoxy the can to the turntable. Just thinking outloud.

Turntables are not designed for a lot of weight so lighten the load... what about epoxy or Foamy Stuff / Great stuff? in a can?
Look into a cheap wiper motor, I think you'll like the results

thanks yall i never thought of useing great stuff. illl get try to find some and use it.
