Those are awesome. Imagine two live people, percehed on top of pillars in gargoyle costumes. That would be an impressive display.
Hmmm... my "do-it-yourselfer" brain is thinking about this...
Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome about the sharing. That is what this board is all about ;)
I made a Gargoyle costume a few yrs back. Much heavier and not as simple.
about the same cost.

The author seems like a real nice guy from the emails we have traded.

Great link Tom. Impressive wings. And actually fairly priced I think.
I looked into trying to make some wings last year and ran across the site below. It might give you some ideas Haasmama ;)

Tom, you mentioned a Gargoyle costume and I know plenty of folks on this board are from Mass. I took my family up the east coast for summer vacation in 2004 and we stopped off in Boston for a couple of days. We ran across this street performer in Quincy Market. A fantastic costume. Wish I could make one of those with some wings that expanded. That would be way cool.

wow great picture,
I'll have to try and scan in my old photos of my costume.
I agree that is a reasonal price for the wings. considering the work that
must be involved and materials.
Thanks for the Mechanical wing link. I'll have to study it later.
If you ever come back to Boston area again you should try and look some of us up.

Interesting. That pix ScareFX posted, looks like what I imagine one of the first Quarterbacks for the Notre Dame football team would have looked like. :D

Thanks ScareFX. That pic from Boston is exactly what I had in mind. Those mechanical wings are neat.

I live painfully close to Boston and I've never once ventured to see that guy. I've seen him on the news, but never went to see him in person.
