first skull corpsification

It really is pretty easy to do. I was afraid to try until we had a make and take group project. I just tweeked until I liked it. Thanks for the nice comments.

So what method did you use to corpsify it? I'm intrigued.

It is a Bucky skull. I used torn paper towels dipped in latex. I used several layers that I let dry inbetween. Coated it with Minwax stain and used a little black paint around the eyes, nose and mouth. It was really easy to do. It has foil on the inside so I can put a flicker light in it.

Do you remember what color Minwax it was? It looks really creepy and realistic! (The crispy parts are really bad for your cholesterol but they taste DELICIOUS!) Nice job!!!

LOL! Yeah...I have been told it looks nice and crispy. My brother told me he has seen decaying animals on the side of the road that look just like that. ewwwwwww
It is Minwax Finish Red Mahogony. I also used a dab of flat gray paint on the inside of the eyes and wiped most of it off to get a chalky look.

I think I took the photo when it was still a little wet. I think I need to put a clear-coat on it to keep its shine. Do you think a clear spray would work?
