Here's a video showing the method I use for running my 3 axis skulls - This board controls the nod, tilt and rotate of the skull. Controlling the jaw servo to get him to talk requires another board. I couldn't have done it without the work hpropman did on the random head code. It's what...

OK, so i have seen all the fabulous singing skulls on the boards and I decided to make my own. I am a barely literate audacity user and i was wondering if there are any good tutorials on how to make the audio tracks. I have found a lot of work arounds but they are a bit over my head. I have...
  4. Prop How-To's
Hi guys. Here's part two of the skull-making tutorial from the other day. Is a new thread ok here for part 2? Or should I have added to the thread? Only one more part after this one... so I hope this doesn't seem spammy! And here's the tutorial: Cheers!

Hi, there. Thought people might like to see the mask I am currently working on. I didn't see a section dedicated to masks, so I posted it here. When finished, they will be cast in silicone. Feel free to let me know what you think.:xbones...

Hey guys! So with the %50 off sale at Spirit today, I got two battery powered Skull Strobe type things. My question is is there some way I can set this up so I can just plug it in rather than using batteries? Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do with these? They were so cheap...

Just finished the mask for my costume this year. It's paper mach with a top layer of tissues for texture, crackle spray paint for extra surface detail, and Sculpey clay for the teeth. More pictures here.

I posted in another post but figured this would be more clear. I am making a giant 3 foot tall by 2 foot wide talking skull and need a super servo to control the mouth movement which weighs an estimated 1 to 2 lbs. I have read a lot about using a wiper motor in a servo configuration to achieve...

Hi! I can not see a review section so i will just pop this here! :p SkulltroniX are amazing. I have been following the company for years and have watched the website change and change, and more and more products be released. I knew all the routines word for word before I even purchased one. Not...

So i'm finally going to build a 3-Axis skull for Trick or Terror this year. I have searched the forum for every piece of info I can find on the subject. I have a few questions though... 1. I found a thread that stated the estimated cost was around $219.50. Have you found this to be true? How...

My biggest goal for this year is to get all of my 3 axis skulls up and running and to put together a controller system that allowed them to be stand alone props. I didn't want to be connected to a computer and didn't want to have to program them in VSA. Since none of my skulls movements need...

The table is from an old deck, the skull is from "The Skull Shoppe", and the blood is "Hot Blood Stix. If possible I will hide a air cannon under the table, and a bowl of candy next to the skull.

Meow, Well this is one project I was almost surprised I pulled off, and I'm even more surprised it turned out so great! All the bones and skulls were single and had to be put together with 'liquid nail' (a type of glue I normally use) Sadly I didn't take any pictures while I was making...
  20. Costumes and Makeup
Due to the off season, I recently got lazy about posting on the forum. About 2 months ago I did a sugar skull makeup that extended from my hairline all the way to about half my torso for my nana who passed away not to long ago. I live on a border town so everyone else in my family is like 100%...
