Hello everyone! I put this together this week. I didn't build the steel scissor prop. But I did make the animated zombie. The scissor prop was custom built by HalloweenFXprops. They did an awesome job. I'm still playing with the prop controller program to find the best results. Pneumatic zombie...

Here's a fun way to celebrate the season and help fill the void until Halloween comes around again next year….Zombie Snowflakes. One of my joys every year is making snowflakes to decorate our windows during the holiday season. This year instead of making the typical six pointed flakes I...

I want to make some lifesize silhouettes of zombies walking through the back yard up to the front where the TOT's will be. Any suggestions? We get crazy winds up here this time of the year so it has to be able to withstand icky elements. And snow is always a very good possibility. I'm...

I made my first creepy head zombie guy wighead prop dude recently! I'm calling him a zombie because I don't know what else to call him. It's just the head because I haven't decided where he's going to go in the house yet. I don't do a haunt, just an upscale adults only party. What do you think...

Here's a quick accessory that I created for this year's zombie costume for MHC. Made from plastic chain and an old $4 lantern from IKEA. It added a nice little voodoo accent with some spanish moss and an LED flicker tea light.

This weekend we were doing special effects makeup on a zombie film, and I figured I would share some samples here! Lot of airbrush work, silicone, blood, and time went into these. Larger versions (and a whole gallery of makeup application, reference, and set photos) are on our Facebook page...

Here I am as Beetlejuice and my best mate, Jody aka DJ Lydia Beatz (get it, haha!) as the gorgeous Lydia Deetz! These were actually our second night costumes that we wore for the club night Rue Morgue which she was a DJ at. The night before was the much more labour intensive costume that I...

Last weekend, I took part in my first Zombie Walk. What a blast! I used it as an opportunity for a dry run for Halloween. I didn't have much time, so I worked as fast as I could, employing the makeup style from last year. I got quite a few compliments and I even scored a cover photo...
