I am trying to following this "how to" for the MIB, but I am really stretching my abilities and level of understanding. Anyone have experiece with this type of set-up so I can bounce a few questions off you now and again?

I have not worked with electronics before, but I am sure I can figure it out if I take my time. When I was ordering stuff from Jameco today I really have no idea what half the stuff does other than it was called for in the plans.

Any ideas of where I can save a buck or two? I know the prop-1 is a must but what about sound? Most everything else seems inexpensive for the most part, wiper motor at $10, total from Jameco at about $30 (2 of everything in case I screw something up).
