OK, I started it. Let's start filling in available dates and project ideas.

I say we all just ignore Sharon's availability whenever she posts it. We know it's not going to stay that way the closer the date gets.

I'm available any day, including Easter. Maybe a projecting showing what Jesus would have really looked like three days after rising from the dead would be appropriate. He was the original zombie after all (if you ignore Lazarus, that is).

On our ride home on Saturday, Jeff and I discussed it might be fun to have a makeup discussion at one meeting, perhaps with some prosthetic appliques. I volunteer Jeff to lead the group.

I also vote for the skull mold-making tangent that FrightGuy tried to send us off on earlier. Since I can't imagine a hand-making class will occupy a full day, perhaps the two projects can be done, one earlier in the day, one later, with Sharon's Easter egg hunt in between (so Sharon, are you going to be getting to Pattie's at 6 a.m. to hide all the eggs so we don't see where you put them?).

Looking forward to the meeting, though, wheneva!

Wow, those SoCal haunters are freakin' professionals, Jay. Green screens. Specialty lighting. Directors! Not to mention cameras. They've got money to burn out there. And that life casting (or was it lufe casting, I forget?) looks like a special kind of torture.

For future projects, I'm looking to add some height to my graveyard this year, which will probably take the form of some foam insulation obelisks. I'm not sure how high I want to make them, but because of their size it may be a limiting factor in people getting them home, so this might be something I have to do on my own.

I was also considering doing a Grave Escape prop too, using a shiatsu massager for the motion. Here's a video for the one I'm thinking of. I've seen a bunch of these on the forums, but I think the original by SpookySam had the best movement (maybe it's just the great .wav file he chose along with a good skull).

Of course, I also saw half your names attached to the various threads discussing this prop, so maybe you've already built this. I do want more movement in my yard and mechanical props like this are fun, but I would like to explore pneumatics too.

"Whats the next project?"

I'd be happy if we came up with a date...Who's in charge here?! :googly:

Rich
What?!? All these people can't make the make-and-take because they want to blow out birthday candles instead? Poseurs!

And FrightGuy, I love your Sally Field impression: "You like me! You really like me!"

Rich
Love the family photo album...they remind me of the "Wild Whites of West Virginia" in a way. Just without the dancing.

Rich
Mmmmm, pizza! I'm in!

Rich
So, diggerc, what you're saying is you're in for the pizza, right?!

Glad Debbie's okay.

Rich
Gee, Pattie, if Kenny wanted some alone time with you this weekend, he didn't have to be so dramatic. He could've politely asked us to meet somewhere else.

Glad he's okay! Tell him next month it's not going to be so easy to ditch us though.

Rich
Greg, really, shouldn't you be asking to see Sharon's bedroom in a PM or something? Out here on the public boards for all to see is so...unseemly! :D

But I don't think it's insensitive to ask about having the M&T elsewhere, after all Pattie suggested it herself. She and Kenny know we love them and wouldn't be offended.

If we are to have it though, I think it does need to be somewhere that we can work if it rains, since that's the forecast. So your carport would be helpful. I'd volunteer if it was going to be sunny, since my yard could handle everyone, though I think the little lady might freak if we all descended inside.

However, since Sharon enjoys inviting people into her bedroom, maybe we could have it there!

With just one day before the meet, PMing everyone a new address and such might be a pain and more scrambling than it's worth. So as much as I want to hang with you guys maybe waiting for the May meeting, but making it earlier in the month perhaps rather than later, would be best.

And FWIW, I'll be hitting up the Chiller Theater Toy/Model/Film Horror Convention in Parsippany next week. I know Jay (FrightGuy) is going and Johnny Thunder from Hauntcast has said he'll be coming too. Might be a fun diversion for the month instead of the M&T.

Geez, Pattie, when it rains it pours. Hope the laptop is okay!

As for the M&T at Greg's, I'd be up for it. I haven't heard from Jeff recently so I don't know if he's available, but I just dropped him a note.

Rich
Pattie, they don't do tests on weekends because it would interfere with their golf games if they did. And it allows them to charge for extra bed days in the process. ;)

Looking forward to Kenny's continued recovery and a return to normalcy for you.

Cheers,
Rich
