CSI always paints a pretty picture and wraps everything up in less than an hour. I'm still a huge fan though. It's incredible that the DNA evidence comes back so quickly when in real life it can take as much as a year in some cases.

I don't know about other parts of the country but criminal investigation courses have been added to a few community colleges. It's become a very popular field but I wondered how many people were interested of the field because of the show and if they really knew what they were in for.
