My birthday just turned sour. I share my birthday not only with Ghostess, but my sister-in-law. A year ago she was diagnosed with cancer. It developed in her kidney and spread to her stomach and liver. After unsuccessful attempts with kemo and other treatments, she took a turn for the worst. Two weeks ago she fell very ill, and could no longer keep food down. The cancer had spread to her throat. She was admitted to the hospital soon after.
Well, I just got a call from my brother that Deb, (my sister-in-law), has died. I don't care that it's my birthday, but it is Deb's birthday and now it's also her death-day. This sucks for my brother and his kids, and her parents. At least she's no longer suffering.
Sorry to be a buzz-kill, just needed to share it with my "forum" family.
