Hey everyone...Heres some pics of my new tombstone. Thats right I built it! Lets see you wanted the cost of the items. I'm not sure exacly but The plywould would probly be 30$ but I only used 1/3 or it so I would say $10 and the paint cost probly around $5-10$.
Most of the time was spend on the horraibal lettering I tried to carve out with a carving knife...

That is the tombstone in question...

It stands at about 24 ft... I was suprised the mesering tape I used had feet... didn't think I had one of those...

This is me and said tombstone...

You guys all were right :p, Tombstones are easy...

Anyway theres my submission, enjoy.

24 ft!?! I think you mean inches. 12 inches = 1 foot. 24 feet is the same as 7.3152 meters. That'd be one monstrous tombstone. :D
Z-F, he was probably using my measurement advice in the Discussion thread. I erroneously stated that 1 meter = 39.37 feet. Nice work, clay! I like the setting in your pic.
To be honest it looked like the thing said Ft... maybe it was one foot it was talking about... I'm failing math so that explanes things...:p
Way to go Claymud! I especially like that last picture.
All right. Now we have a contest! I have heard of kissing the blarney stone, but never the tomstone. Good Job claymud.
I have to ask- what's the meaning behind the name date? Any significance? And good job!
Nice job claymud!

Do I see a little tounging going on with that stone?

I was hopping someone would notice the little name there, R. Mary stands for the Imfamous Reserection Mary that hitchikes somewhere in Chigago. The year is the real year that she died.

I made two other ones for the project I made the first one for. I still have enough plywood for another 2 stones maybe.

Cool! Is that the one who supposedly left burned/indented handprints on the gates at the cemetery in which she is buried?
I like it! Looks like one of those really really old stones that are found in abandoned tombstones found deep in a woods!
Creepy....
