I figured it would be a good time to post any epitaphs or pun names you may know for others to use this Hallow's Eve.

These are some I'm planning on this year:

Here lies Clare Voiyant
She never saw it coming

U. R. Next

She finally got to sleep in (maybe a stone pillow for a headstone)

Here lies an old Atheist by the name of Joe
All dressed up but no place to go!

Lizzy Bordon's father lies here
(add smaller stones around the main marker that say "and here")

As you pass by
And cast an eye
As you are now
So once was I

I knew this was going to happen to me

Beneath this stone my wife doth lie
Now she's at rest and so am I

Here lies Bill Clinton
With two blondes and a brunette

I don't do pun names myself - I try and come up with more realistic epitaphs but at the same time I sometimes will reference a movie or book as a sort of subtle in-joke. Here's some that I've used:

Icabod Crane
1783 - 1859

Count Dracula
There are far worse things awaiting man than death

When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth.
(this one is the quote from Dawn of the Dead - I thought it was appropriate)

Roberta Sparrow
"Grandma Death"
1887 - 1988
Every Living Creature on this Earth Dies Alone
(This one is a reference to the film Donnie Darko. I'll carve a pumpkin with the Donnie Darko bunny image on it to sit next to the tombstone and see how many people get the reference. :)

I also created one for my brother who plays a character of an zombie clown. I figured if he's dead he must have been buried somewhere before he came back to life.

MULLET
Jean-Paul & Miette
May they rest in peace
(I also included a small photo with the inscription Laughter never dies)

Death is a debt to nature due, I have paid it and so shall you!

One year I also put some Shakespeare quotes on the walls on a whim, such things as, "Be bloody, bold and resolute". Leading up to the graveyard I wrote, ahead lie grave men. Sort of a play on the line from Romeo and Juliet.

I've made up a few:
Theresa Corpsere
Ed Stone
Upton Dide
Burton Crisp
Rosa Frommer-Schlumber
Hugo First
Phil McGraven
Sally Forth
Luke Overheer
Ivy Scaped
Belle E. Acre
Gaspar Forraire
Vic Timms

I know they are very corny, but the ToTs (and usually their parents) really like to read them...
