Anyone out there ever use this motor, http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/item/DCM-245/400400/6_RPM_GEARHEAD_MOTOR_.html . It's 6 rpm and the price is right.

I have several of those that I use for various props but doubt they would have the torque required for a full sized FCG. Perhaps a mini FCG?
just about the heaviest part of my ghost is her foam wig head. what if i was to cut the head in half, tear out most of the foam, then hot glue it back together. think that would lighten it up????
Possibly, most important is balancing the weight of the head with the weight of the "arms". An alternative to the FCG is just a "floating ghost". Wig head and cheese cloth just hanging from monofiliment line. Same black light but put a small fan near the floor aimed up. Just enough wind to make the cheese cloth move. I actually like that effect better than the fcg.
