Okay, I need help with the freezer section of our morgue room. I scored some freezer doors from a dumpster and added steel peel and stick wallpaper behind them. I still don't like it and need ideas on how to make it look better. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I think it looks pretty good for a start. Here are a couple of additional thoughts:

Grab some 1x4's or 2x4's (or other similar dimension material) and make a frame for the overall wall panel and the individual doors. This will give it a bit more of a 3D impact.

'Morgue' lighting to me is blue, green or blue-green. (I don't know why, that is just what I associate with it!) So, not sure if the pic is the actual lighting or 'just for reference' - But I think some dim, spooky blue/green lights would set the mood and possibly some contrasting red lights and/or some strobes firing from behind the doors / inside the freezer.

Possibly an electric motor and simple arm mechanism to slam or rattle one of the doors, like something inside trying to get out. Similar motor could wave the hands reaching out.

Grab some spray snow and highlight 'frost' on the corners / edges of the doors.

Flickering light in the ceiling suggesting the power is failing and either real or simulated water on the floor suggesting things are 'thawing out'

UV blacklight and fluorescent red, green, blue, white streaks or 'blood' to add a bit of visual 'pop'.

If you're 'going crazy' with it, possibly have one door open and an 'infinity mirror' behind it, so it looks like a portal to another dimension.

Of course, fog never hurts for overall ambiance, or chill fog and pipe it in so it cascades down out of the freezers.

Possibly bloody footsteps or claw prints on the floor leading away from the area - suggesting something already got out.

If you want to play the 'gross' card... possibly something like flies, maggots, spiders, etc spilling out of one of the freezers.

Anyway, hopefully this will get you started and some of the other great minds around here will have more ideas. Overall, my general trend is to keep it dark and spooky, then the mind is forced to fill in the details...and those might be even more scary than what you'd originally come up with.

Be sure to keep us updated on how it turns out!

Can you look online at some pictures of actual abandoned buildings to get an idea of what an aged structure like this really looks like, then shoot for an approximation of that? Doesn't have to be an actual morgue - some place with paint peeling from filing cabinets would be OK.
