Uh...Why was Fright Night one of the contenders? I thought for sure that the presence of William Ragsdale would immediately disqualify any film.

But seriously, where the hell was The Monster Squad in all this? Was it among the choices and I just missed it? Any film that teams The Creature from the Black Lagoon with Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, and Jon Gries as the Wolfman deserves some serious attention.

Yeah, I'm just dickin' around. I haven't actually seen Fright Night in close to 20 years. I remember almost nothing about the film. Maybe I'll check it out again, now that I see how highly recommended it is.

Honestly, I've never really been into vampires, or at least into Hollywood's depiction of them. I'm much more of a zombie guy.
