How was the torso made?
I used about 3 feet of chicken wire and looped it into a cylinder, old wire was used to attach it to the horizontal support. I then wrapped it with burlap and used spray foam, sticks, twine and shredded burlap to create the "guts". Black spray paint and airbrushed reddish brown completed the mangled torso.

The head was made by first covering an old foam-filled mask with aluminum foil, then using burlap and white glue, I made a mold of the face. Once dry, the face was seperated from the mask and painted. The hat was made with the same process, this time using an old resin cast hat-shaped birdhouse. The hands are made from wire coat hangers and blue masking tape.

The eyes were made from the plastic packaging that came with some light bulbs. I cut out 2 eyeball shaped lenses from the package, painted the interiors yellow and glued them into the face.

This build was started about a week after the contest was announced. I'm glad I took my time, as I have the propensity to rush into these kinds of projects. I should also thank my friend (and haunting partner) Laurie for her hard work, great ideas and thrift store item procurement... Laurie kicks ass!
