Fifth Annual Kreepfest to be held in Harrisonville, Missouri

Are you one of 'those people'? The people who decorate their yard for the benefit of trick-or-treaters every year? Do you believe in a return to the fun and safe environment Halloween used to provide for children to venture out and visit neighbors they don't usually see? If so, then Kreepfest is for you.

Kreepfest is a gathering held every August where yard and home haunters, those who decorate their yard for the Halloween season, as well as those who run charity, semi-pro, and professional haunted houses may gather to share ideas, give feedback on products in the industry, and get back in touch with old friends and learn new tricks to spook up their display.

Begun in 2002, This is the second year Harrisonville will be hosting the conference. This year's Kreepfest runs from Friday, August 10 to Sunday August 12 at the Youth Building, 305 North Wall Street in Harrisonville. Friday evening is our get-together dinner held this year at The Best Burrito, 1805 S. Commercial St. Harrisonville, Missouri, followed by a screening of the new classic in B-Movie greatness, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra.

Saturday will bring a whole day of fun with demonstrations on creeping up your Halloween party and coffin building, as well as an all-you-can-eat potluck BBQ, (Bring a side dish, the meat is all provided) sponsored by Stonegate Cremetorium. Following the BBQ, we'll have Miller Paranormal Research coming to speak on their investigations of the Cass County Courthouse and other local phenomenon. The morning's activities conclude at 5PM with our Door-Prize give-away. Many sponosors donated prizes including Dollar Tree of Harrisonville.

Saturday evening at 8:00 pm, the Zombie Prom will take place on the Celebration Deck of Younger's, on the Square. A dance where EVERYONE will be LATE for the prom. Dress up in your toxic tuxes and your gruesome gowns to party til something shakes loose. Sunday will bring our annual make-and-take where we will be constructing a cool new gadget to aid in construction of Halloween props.

Bourno,
We will miss you. And that means we don't get to see what other cool props you have been working on (just loved that crawling zombie!)

Pickleman,
Put us down for a kit also, for the make and take. I emailed Candymom to tell you but just covering all bases.

Can't wait!!!
