MADE TO ORDER-CUT FRESH DAILY

prices and contents:
couch cushion foam --free-- (donated couch's for our halloween fire)
makeup--free-- lip stick , blush, , lip liner, eye shadow- xmas gift box 3 yrs ago
earring-- free -- old earring no match from mom (passed on)
make-up- cover all-------------------$3.00
food color-- green-- 15 drops---------.30 cents
yellow-- 5 drops----------.10 cents
gray spray paint-- pro rated--------$1.00
2 and 1/2 pair (5) easy eyes irises ---.20 cents
hot glue- 3 small sticks--------------$1.00
corn starch (1/2 box)------------------.50 cents
elmers glue (5 drops)------------------.10 cents
cat litter (1 handful)-------------------.20 cents

TOTAL COST-->----->----->------>- $6.40

Everything here is made out of couch cushion foam :
EXCEPT ;
1 Earring;
Cat Litter;
Irises on the eyes: those are hot glue and easy eyes(<paper):
Fingernails are aslo hot glue

1 and 1/2 large couch cushions
Cut your fingers,toes,ears,noses,tongues,lips
and leaf lettuce out of the foam with scissors.
Also cut a slice for tray shape wanted, and pedestal.. trim as desired
(1 circle for tray , 1 square for pedestal, use scraps for body pieces)
Use fingers to smear on face make-up- on all but tray and lips
and lip liner for dark lines
Use eyeshadow for bruising colors, and for the eyelid
blush for tongue color, eye liner for line in tongue
Use lipstick and lip liner for lips
Use cornstarch with green and yellow food color for lettuce leaves
(drop about 15 green /5 yellow drops ( depends what color you want)
in cornstarch mix up - rub into foam pieces)
Spray paint tray and pedestal- gray
Sprinkle cat litter on while wet
serve room temperature

Lilly, that's gross.... how can you possibly serve salad without soup?

I really like the foam carving! In my opinion, it is a true art form, once ya get past the blisters! I've done a few carvings that I'll try to find some pix of for ya.....Nice job!

y my thumb was a little sore in one spot , but i just changed how i held the scissors then..
soup hmm , I will have to work on that.

thanks again all ,

procrastinator...haha yes they are noses , but maybe what your thinking would be good floating in the soup Dave suggested to go with this prop.... snausage soup coming soon to a deli near you!

Pyro...couldn't let ya hanging so I had to post it...
Actually it is a Hor Duerve (sp) Tray not a salad as most think ...
Doc..I doubt they would want to make this on food network but ya never know
Sickie you were close with those parts and pieces.
Dave-waffle house? remind me never to eat there LOL
