What software do you all use to make your presentation movies? I'm about to try to put one together for 2009 (as practice for the upcoming season)... Does Windows Movie Maker work passably well?
I got a video camera recently and made a video of our July 4th with it. Was easy to learn and did everything I wanted. I'm no expert but I was happy with it.
Since you're using Windblow - er, ah, Windows, give Windows Movie Maker a try first, you may be happy with it. If not, Adobe Premier Elements works pretty well & won't break the bank.
I've used Windows Movie Maker once before for my friends band that played at this bar. I liked it, was able to do some nice effects. My camera was less quality, but for an installed progam when you get the computer, I think its decent. Good Luck.
We've used Windows Movie Maker for the last few years to put together our video slideshows with the still photos we take. It's relatively easy to use, and you can import images, video clips, and sound to make your "movie". You can also add transitions (like dissolve or fade), title pages, credits, etc.
One limitation (if you can call it that) to keep in mind is, if you want the final movie to look good on something like the HauntForum's annual DVD collection, you need to save it in a format suitable for DVD. That means the file will be really large if it's more than a few minutes long. For example, a movie that's around 24 MB when saved as a Windows Media Audio/Video file will translate to around 700 MB when saved in the highest quality format, or thereabouts.
I have done all my videos on Windows Movie Maker and it seems to do the job. I have Adobe Premiere, but I don't like waiting for it to render where Windows Movie Maker you can view what you have edited right away.
