I just picked up this prop at Walgreens. It's pretty nice to put above a tombstone. It's just a reaper head that lunges toward you. The first time I heard it, it was pretty cool.. it gives you that creepy evil laugh and the mouth moves and eyes glow red. But then the next time I heard it, it had some stupid rap music and they dude starts singing. There's no way to make it just do the creepy laugh. Does anyone know if there's a way to hack this so it only does the creepy laugh and never does that music thing again??

Sickie's right...SOL, my friend. UNLESS....you hack it. Don;t use the chip at all. You could record the sound part you want, burn it to CD or MP3 player, and use this motor circuit:

Open it up...find the wires to the mouth motor and eye LEDS...usually, they are together. Tap into them and hook them up according to the diagram. Play your recorded sound through a GOOD amp, and use a good 5volt regulated power supply, like a PC atx computer power supply. Set the thing to loop. Problem is making the sound sync to the movements of the prop. I would have to open one myself to see if it's even possible.

I have taken apart one of those keychain voice recorders and found that by removing power to the unit altogether, then restoring it, makes the recording playback right from the beginning without having to hit the play button.

Try that and see if it works, if so, just hook up a relay to kick in just as the prop lunges.
