Okay, time is running out and because of my situation right now, I may not have the time to build everything I wanted to. So here's my question:

For the props I had planned to use in other ways (masks, etc) is it better to just set them out static this year or save them to be revealed when I finish building the peops next year?

If they're a static piece this year, your return patrons will expect the same.
So, they won't be prepared for the startle.

That gives you a head start on new and improved so to speak for next yr.
You can always change the clothes too.

I have a ton of 'parts'. Some I will use this year and some won't be used at all. The same pvc frame with a different mask and outfit becomes a brand new prop.

This will keep it fresh every year.
