i want to make a sign like saying the fear starts hear october the 30th bla de bla but need sign ideas like i was thinking a sotr of hanging on on a pole with a hanging bit underneath fro more info

I have two words for you GR.

Scrap Lumber

If you can scrounge up, or otherwise acquire, a 2x4 and some old 1x4 or 1x6 you pretty much have this one licked. There would be the chain but that doesn't run much - just remember to spritz/spray with vineger if you want to start some rusting. And then I would have to ask whether you are putting a light on this or not? If you are you may want to change the 2x4 to a 4x4.

Basically exactly what you said just with an angled piece to support the top arm where the chain/signs will hang.

If you're running lighting I'd conceal the cord inside the wood or run it exposed very hap-hazardly to an old looking light with a flickering bulb.

Why is it these damned last-minute ASCII sketches never come out right?
