This is my first year to build my own props and it seems I could use some advice. I am building an old west cemetery theme and would really like to try a "realistic" striking rattlesnake. I need some ideas for getting him to strike and then recoil. Electric? Pneumatic? I have searched everywhere and the only one I can find is a behemoth that madmax built around a standing dummy. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry MAN...
I almost got to my snake project, but the clocks ticking too fast!
I was going to have mine in a tank arched and moving side to side (Electric fan)
Then when someone get close I wanted it to push the lid open and spit a high pressure air/water mist at the Tots.
2007....
