I just had a great idea how to create shelved books, stacks, piles, etc... old computer game boxes for the basic structure. I used to be a computer game dork, I'll admit (and I own 6 of the games in the pic below!!).

If you have access to old computer game boxes, they can be arranged to mimic books since they are roughly the same size. With the endless size variance of old computer game packaging, the

Figure out the layout of the look you want based on the number of boxes, fasten them down then apply finishes accordingly.

This comes from two sources of inspiration - Stollo's use of materials and my wife asking me why I have old computer game boxes.

This is actually a very clever idea for reusing something. It makes me wish I had kept all of my DVD cases when I put the discs in a "library" and recycled the plastic covers. I could have kept them and used them as books... Oh well. Live and learn.
